Two distinct Gauss pendulum configurations tested in this work. The normal configuration uses a steel ball as a spacer, with the same functionality as the Gauss rifle depicted in Figure 1. The second configuration uses a hard polymer spacer instead of a steel ball. By doing so, we could easily manufacture several separators differing in thickness.
